This occupation requires the planning, layout, fabrication and assembly of developmental type parts and assemblies, test equipment, missile assemblies, tools, gauges, molds, dies, and fixtures. Sets up and operates a variety of manual machines, utilizing general machining practices and optimum utilization of the tooling/set-ups required with minimal direct supervision. Utilizes advanced mathematical and problem solving skills. Applies a comprehensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Uses a variety of Standard Inspection Equipment (SIE) to maintain integrity of conformance to part tolerances during fabrication. Performs off line programming using Master Cam/conversational software to setup and fabricate complex precision developmental parts and potential pre-production parts. Produce parts out of materials ranging from standard to exotic. Required Skills: · 6 years recent experience in Tool and Die or Journeyman Machinist occupation · Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) · Ability to work from blueprints · Ability to set up and operate conventional Toolroom machines, i.e., mills, lathes, grinders, etc. · Working knowledge and experience to set up and operate CNC lathes and mills · Working knowledge of CAD/CAM Programming systems U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment Desired Skills: · Graduate of approved Journeyman Machinist or Tool & Die apprenticeship Required Education: · High School diploma Starting Rate: $25.70 Relocation assistance of up to $5,000 is available Must be able to pass a written evaluation and practical Must be able to work 1st and 2nd shift positions 155677
