Manufacturing Technician

**Job Description**

Manufacturing Technicians perform functions associated with all wafer production including operations, equipment, process and training.

Work is somewhat complex and is performed within the spectrum ranging from narrowly defined parameters and limited judgment up to highly complex and nonstandard assignments in nature and broadly defined parameters.

Normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new work.

In addition, the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for, but not be limited to:

+ Responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustaining.

+ Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct online equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization.

+ Responsible for running lots in a qualitative way.

+ Responsible for improvement processes, troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line, and reviewing technological health and stability.

+ May be responsible for the buddy, trainer, and certifier levels and is in charge of updating training manuals.

+ May participate in safety forums and Emergency Response Team as required.

**Qualifications**

**You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position.**

**Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.**

**Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.**

**Requirements**

+ Possess an associate's degree or bachelor's degree or Mechanical or Technical Certification or related manufacturing experience of 6+ months or equivalent military training.

+ Work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves.

+ Lift up to 25 pounds (lbs.), and spend the majority of time (90% + less break time) on the floor working on tool sets, walking 3 to 5 miles a day, and standing and/or sitting for 9 - or + hours.

+ The schedule will consist of three twelve hour days in a row followed by a fourth day every other week.

+ Candidate must be willing to work a compressed work week schedule.

+ Shift is twelve hours long and rotates from three to four days a week: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday (Shift 7)

**Preferred**

6+ months of prior experience in the following areas:

+ Electronic and/or avionic experience.

+ Electronics or digital circuitry.

+ End-user computer skills and navigation, schematic and/or wiring diagram reading, electronic systems troubleshooting and maintenance.

+ Testing, repairing and troubleshooting faulty electronic equipment down to a component using available schematics, technical data and test equipment
