Position Overview

The

Boeing Defense, Space & Security

(BDS) organization is seeking

Engineering Multi-Skill Manager

to join the Apache Helicopter Primary Structural Design team located in

Mesa, AZ.

This position manages employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Position Responsibilities:

Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering

Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

Manages, develops and motivates employees

Manages project cost, schedule, technical and operational objectives

Basic Qualifications:

Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Bachelors or Master’s Degree of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.

5+ years of experience in leading engineering teams.

5+ years of experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers

8+ years of experience

in a Mechanical, Structural, Production, Analysis or Materials Science Engineering role.

Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS (

within and outside of The United States of America).

Preferred Qualifications:

8+ years of Rotorcraft engineering experience.

Strong technical communication skills involving customer relationships, internal teaming, and building consensus within and between teams

Experience with computer aided design and/or Product Data Management systems.

Experience with supplier engagement and manufacturing processes and operations.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
