We are seeking a talented individual to weld, using a variety of methods, metal parts for our cutting-edge industrial automated projects. This position will work closely with our engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to experience unparalleled growth opportunities by increasing their practical skills and acquiring specialized knowledge in the construction of world class production equipment. This is a full time, permanent 1st shift position working from 7am-3:30pm with the opportunity for overtime and growth in an air conditioned, state-of-the-art facility.

Your Day in the Life as a Welder Fabricator
Your day-to-day includes working with our Manufacturing and Engineering teams to ensure AeroSpec’s ISO certified quality is upheld while making schedule. You’ll welder metal parts for later assembly by following blueprints, conduct test output to ensure strength, quality, and tolerance of welds, calculate material measurements to verify specifications, and check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects. As a fabricator, your ability to conduct machining operations both pre- and post-weld using manual mills and lathes is an important part of the position. All tasks will be completed with a safety-first mindset.

A portion of your day would be spent setting up and running other fabrication equipment such as press brakes, grinder, band saw, and drill press, etc. In addition, you will maintain and clean your work area and assist in other shop duties as required.

Job Qualifications
• 3+ years’ experience in Welding and Fabrication
• TIG Welding experience including aluminum (precision parts & structural), steel (precision parts), and stainless (precision parts)
• MIG & Fluxcore welding experience including steel (structural)
• Proficient in reading blueprints, understanding specifications and tolerances
• Ability to stand, crouch, and lift heavy equipment during the eight (8) hour shift
• Capable of solving challenging fixturing problems for fabrication
• Welding certification, a plus but not required.
• Able to interpret Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning (GD&T), a plus
• Able to operate manual machine tools including Bridgeports, Engine and Toolroom Lathes, Surface Grinders, a plus
• Capable of reading of reading manual measuring instruments, a plus
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing QA procedures and processes, a plus
• Capable of performing part inspections using manual measurement equipment, a plus
