Metal Finisher

The Metal Finisher we seek must have a strong safety focus and technical aptitude, as well as a strong work ethic, adaptability and eye for detail. This employee will assist in the production process to prep/polish materials and products for the quality control & assembly areas. The employee will utilize past employment experience or training to learn the processes, machinery, and tools used to finish products in a safe manner.

Responsibilities:
Sanding: Ability to use hand held grinders and polishing lathes to finish products
Blue Prints: Capable of reading and understanding blue prints, job orders & drawings and following the directions of the above listed.
Other tasks: Other manufacturing procedures the employee will be asked to perform include cutting, burning, grinding, sanding, drilling and tapping.
Safety: Employee must ensure that s/he is using the proper safety equipment and abiding by company safety policies at all times.
Employees in this position may be ask from time to time to assist in other means of production and are not limited to the processes listed above. If employees are asked to perform other duties other than the above listed, proper training will be provided before the employee is to perform the specific task.
Requirements Include:

High School Diploma or GED is required
Experience in the manufacturing industry
Knowledge and training of the use of Power Tools and Hand Tools
Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings & job orders
Basic computer navigation and data entry skills
Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day and lift at least 50 pounds
Employee must be able to use both hands to control equipment and material using in the production process
Ability to work overtime when needed
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
