SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER

Summary This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. Responsibilities You will assist the Operations Officer in directing and providing technical, operational and administrative supervision over the Operations Division, PMO/PCPD. You will assist Operations Officer in the planning, managing, directing and evaluating of law enforcement and security operations. You will supervise personnel who provide installation security, respond to and investigate complaints while enforcing Federal Law, Assimilated Law, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), DoD and DoN regulations, Marine Corps Orders and installation You will supervise the day-to-day work of watch Commanders and other Provost Marshal Office/Marine Corps Police department functions that can include: Accident Investigation Section, Training, Special Reaction Team, and Working Dog Section You will respond to critical incidents, Direct personnel, as assigned, at catastrophic events per the National Response Plan and National Incident Management System (NIMS) required by Federal Law Presidential Directive and Military Directive. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing law enforcement duties that deal with apprehension and detention of individuals in cases ranging from minor incidents to felonies; assisting in planning, managing, directing and evaluating of law enforcement and security operations; supervising day-to-day work of personnel and/or other Operations' sections (e.g. accident investigation section, Training, Special reaction team, and Working Dog Section).
