Boeing Defense, Space and Security is seeking Experienced Systems Engineers to support the Apache Helicopter programs, AH-6 Little Bird programs, and other One Boeing activities for the Communications, Navigation, Aircraft Survivability Equipment (Comm/NAV/ASE) team in Mesa, AZ. In joining the COMM/ NAV/ ASE team, you will be part of the Attack Mission Systems organization, which manages the company's major government, foreign military sales programs and other missions.
In this role you will develop, integrate and document navigational requirements to establish the system design. You will coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment and load development, guide product design and verifies by using analytical methods, throughout the product life-cycle.
+ Design, analyze and guide others in the development of Guidance and Navigation systems, simulations, models & tools
+ Perform trade studies to identify design solutions that meet program requirements
+ Perform design reviews, analyses, simulations and component / system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations
+ Work with Navigational Equipment ( EGI, Doppler, Air Data Computer etc) and certification process (DO-178C and DO-254)
+ Familiar with development of Area Navigation (RNAV/RNP), LPV(Vertical Guidance) and WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) is preferred
**This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.** An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ 3+ years’ experience developing requirements and test procedures
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ 3+ years’ experience with aircraft, autonomous platform or similar vehicle in Guidance and Navigation and System design
+ 3+ years’ experience in integrating Line Replicable Units (LRUs) on aircraft platforms
+ Master’s degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics
+ Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers
+ Experience working with FAA/SRD to develop Flight Test Plan and Test Report
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
