About the role

The Client Computing Group (CCG) is seeking a dynamic senior technical leader to join CCG's leadership team to help us meet our strategic objectives and grow our business by ensuring delivery of an annual cadence of leadership products, helping transform the industry to platforms, and leading in cloud client. This leader will report directly to the EVP of the Client Compute Group.

This senior technical leader is responsible for defining Client Platforms to address emerging workloads and usages in high growth segments: Performance thin and light laptops, Gaming rigs, High-End Desktop, Commercial clients and Cloud enable clients. Responsible for leading systems level co-designs with top PC OEMs, Cloud Service Providers, Gaming ISVs and Commercial IT/End users.

Technical leader responsible to drive the strategic decision making for the client roadmaps. Partnering with CCG leadership driving systemic process, product and capacity optimizing of Intel's Client business.

This position will directly lead a team of 200 plus Platform Architects and indirectly lead the efforts of thousands of designers with Architects embedded in our SOC, Graphics and Software teams.

Responsibilities

* Responsible for driving resolution of customer escalations and delivering customer communications.

* Research, recommend, specify, and document technology for platforms in support of organization's strategic vision.

* Responsible for translating business and customer requirements into platform architecture encompassing hardware, software, SoCs and other components designed to support a variety of systems, solutions, and applications.

* Design, develop, and analyze overall platform architecture and partitioning between hardware and software to meet use cases and workloads in terms of performance, scalability, manageability, reliability, and security requirements.

* Leads architectural governance and decisions related to product technology and platform tradeoffs as part of a cross functional architecture decision group.

* Provide technical direction for platform, SoC and component design activities. Influences the shaping of future products/solutions by significantly contributing to the architecture and technology employed throughout the compute continuum.

* Provides multilayered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.

* Build and retain a high performing organization valuing diversity and inclusion. Cultivate and reinforce appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors. Build a result-oriented organization to operate in a matrix environment requiring collaboration and cross-business unit influence. Develop the organization for sustained growth and develop people for technical leadership and strong management.

**Qualifications**

* Master of Science or PhD. degree in Engineering preferred with 15+ years of experience in leading architecture teams.

* Minimum of 5+ years of experience in leading global organization of 200+ employees.

* Must have an executive presence and proven leadership skills to apply when partnering and engaging with Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer level leaders with constructive confrontation and collaboration and proven results in leadership of large organizations.

The Client Computing Group (CCG) is responsible for driving business strategy and product development for Intel's PC products and platforms, spanning form factors such as notebooks, desktops, 2 in 1s, all in ones. Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:

$358,710.00-$645,690.00
