Manage production networks including IP backbone, data centers, and edge pops across the globe from heterogeneous vendors, with a passion toward network availability and quality. Ensure the continuous availability of all data network services. Create and update network documentation and network schematics. Provide resolution information and work with other teams to complete impact analysis where appropriate. Provide comprehensive and maintenance plans for change management review and approval, implement the same according to plan. Investigate and remediate network capacity related issues. Implement network security policies across routers and firewalls. Work closely with other team members to ensure existing standards, policies, and conventions are carefully followed. Interface frequently with cross discipline support teams (Systems, Database, and Storage, Application operations) in order to provide seamless network operations. Conduct network studies and performance analysis, and recommend changes. Perform quarterly proactive network testing to ensure proper functioning and reliability of the network. Work on build and deployment of new POP, Datacenter growth and large-scale migration activity in a production network. Proactively identify gaps, risks, and issues and navigate organizational structure to resolve them. Well versed with Security and regulatory policies. Able to design and implement foolproof secured network solutions. Partner cross-functionally with other Product Infrastructure teams in order to continuously improve and apply standards and policies relevant to operational excellence. Mentor/Train network operations team in installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Day to Day Duties
Maintain and document Technology Lifecycle standards:
+ Perform Network Product Owner functions, including updating product information. Provide/review Lifecycle refresh plans and remediation plans as needed.
+ Perform lifecycle compliance research, refresh plans, remediation plans, exceptions as needed. Document status in compliance management system of record.
+ Create products in the product catalog and lifecycle tools.
Maintain and document Asset Management Compliance:
+ Research asset location by submitting Trace & Validate requests. Assist other teams with research in asset system of record.
+ Update compliance status in compliance management systems.
+ Monitor and drive asset or device vulnerability.
+ 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: enterprise network, network configuration, network administration, or network maintenance
+ 5 + years of Networking experience
+ 5+ years of LAN (Local Area Network) experience
+ 5+ years of WAN (Wide Area Network) experience
+ 5+ years of experience in network infrastructure
+ 3+ years of inventory management experience
+ 3+ years of experience working in a large enterprise network organization
+ 2 + years of experience in technical deployment, configuration, integration and administration of at least one of the following network security technologies: 802.11 wireless authentication, AAA, TACACS, RADIUS, or 802.1x Network Admission Control (NAC)
+ A network professional certification; CCNA, CCNP, CCIE ( Cisco Certified Network Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Professional, Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE))
+ 2+ years of Remedy experience
+ 2+ years of compliance and regulatory systems experience
+ 2+ years of compliance experience
+ Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
+ Intermediate Microsoft Visio skills
+ Knowledge and understanding of wireless transport technologies
+ Ability to present reports to and interact with senior leaders
+ Ability to present results of analyses and recommendations to senior leaders
+ Ability to present technical concepts to senior leaders
