Auto Transport Technician

We are growing and have full-time opportunities for Installer/Fabricator Technicians at our Phoenix location. We are a Cottrell, Kentucky Trailer, and Sun Country licensed dealership providing full support for auto haulers throughout the US and Canada. Twenty-five service bays, fabrication, body & paint, and a large parts department dedicated to trailer and AT equipment make us one of the busiest dealerships in the West.

In this role you play a big part in delivering on our customer commitment which is to gain customer loyalty by providing exceptional service and installing tow equipment sub frame and bodies on truck chassis.

+ Performs frame drilling, electronic, and hydraulic installation of towing equipment by performing the following duties.

+ Measures distances with ruler to lay out work in body of truck.

+ Drills holes and bolts metal framework and supports in place.

+ Cuts, drills, and fits brackets, supports, covers, and fixtures from metal sheet, strap or bar stock.

+ Bolts and screws control panels and assembled operating units to framework.

+ Connects electrical wiring harnesses and cables.

+ Installs lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, wall boxes, and terminal boards.

+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

+ Three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Welding/Fabrication/Hydraulic/ Electrical Automotive Wiring experience preferred & automotive technical experience is highly desired.

+ Ability to stand, lean, bend, lift, and reach.

+ Ability to work with various power tools & shop equipment.

+ Work is done in an automotive shop environment
